Colorado Ranks Top 10 For Businesses

Colorado Startup Lawyer | LaszloLawCNBC just released “America’s Top States for Business 2013.”

Colorado moved up to the 7th position on this list form 8th place in 2012. CNBC “scored all 50 states on 51 measures of competitiveness developed with input from business groups including the National Association of Manufacturers and the Council on Competitiveness.” South Dakota took the number one spot, followed by Texas, North Dakota, Nebraska, Utah and Virginia.  Colorado’s workforce, economy, technology and innovation and access to capital were the major factors in Colorado’s high ranking.

Forbes recently reported that in 2012, Colorado, launched a startup every 72 hours–particularly Denver startups and Boulder startups.  Additionally, in June, a Colorado Supreme Court ruling further protected Limited Liability Companies (LLCs).

As a Colorado startup lawyer, I couldn’t agree more that Colorado is a premier state to start your business. Right now, Colorado has an influx of talented entrepreneurs and a growing access to capital making it an ideal spot for business startups.
